Where can I see Anne Holman Jewelry in person? 

Anne Holman Jewelry's studio is housed inside The Smithery: artist made goods, in Grandview Heights, Ohio.  You may see the widest variety and the newest pieces here in the store.  You may even sneak a peek at the newest creation on the workbench!

Or if you are not in the area, you may visit one of the boutiques or galleries that carry my work as seen on my RETAILERS page. Each store carries a selection of pieces.

How do I pay for my order?

I accept credit card payments from Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover. You are able to pay with a PayPal account but you do not need a PayPal account to pay with your credit card. Your payment is due at the time you place your order.  Customers in Ohio will be charged a 7.5% sales tax. 


I have placed my order, what will happen next?

Your order will be processed immediately. If item is in stock, it will be packaged and shipped within 3 business days from the time your payment has been received and cleared.  If you have placed a custom order, the work will begin on your order when your payment has cleared. See below for estimated time frame. You will receive an email confirmation when your order has shipped, along with a tracking number.


I placed a custom map jewelry order and have requested proofs.  How does this work?

Once your payment has cleared, you will receive an email with jpg proofs of your options within 3-5 business days.  Please add anne@anneholman.com to your address book to insure you receive your proofs.  You may want to check your spam folder if you don't see the email in your inbox. 

Each piece of jewelry is permitted up to one revision from the original proofs.  This can be an entirely different map, or a repositioning of the map.  Any revisions beyond this are subject to an additional custom proofing fee.

Once I have received an email response from you confirming your final approval of an image, your jewelry will be complete in 1-3 weeks from the date of your approval. Time frame will be dependent on current order volume and the type of jewelry ordered.   See below for turnaround times for map jewelry.

In the rare case that I cannot locate a satisfactory map of your location, I am happy to refund your order less the proofing fee.


I have placed a custom map jewelry order and did not request proofs.  When will I receive my order?

Once I have received your payment, I will begin the process of selecting a map for your jewelry.  I will use a map that best features the location you have chosen and fits well within the type of setting in your jewelry.  Your order will be shipped within 1-3 weeks from the date your payment clears. The time frame will be dependent on current order volume and the type of jewelry ordered.


What is the turnaround time for Custom Orders*?

1-2 weeks - Map Pendants, Map Charms, Map Cufflinks, Map Keychains

2-4 weeks - Map Bracelet, Map Tuxedo Stud Sets, Map Ring, Custom Rings

I placed an order for a Ready to Ship item and a Custom item, can you ship these separately?

All pieces of jewelry on one order will be shipped together regardless of the time frame in which they are ready to ship.  If you would like items to ship separately, you will need to place separate orders for each. 


Can I put a priority/rush service on my order?

This is dependent on current order volume and the turnaround time you are requesting. In most cases, except for around the December holidays, I can expedite an order to get it out to you as fast as humanly possible.  Please keep in mind that I am human, and can only make things as fast as the process and my hands allow, but I will do everything I can to get your order to you on time.  Please email me, or place a note on your order with the date it needs to be in your hands.  If it is deemed possible, a rush fee of $30 may apply in addition to Express Mail service charges, where available. If you have placed an order and it is determined that the requested time frame does not allow enough time for a particular item to ship, I will be happy to refund your order.  

Holiday order dates and cut off deadlines will be posted as a guideline to help make sure your gifts will arrive on time.  However, I cannot be responsible for any delays that may occur in transit.


How will my order ship?


DOMESTIC orders are shipped via USPS Priority Mail with delivery confirmation, which usually takes 2-3 days. The shipping rates, delivery confirmation and packaging are included with your shipping costs. You will receive a tracking number when your order ships. Insurance will be added to packages over $200.   Express USPS shipping service (if available in your area) will require additional shipping fees. Please make this selection when you place your order.


INTERNATIONAL orders are shipped USPS Registered International First Class, USPS Priority (or the most secure and designated service, depending on the destination country).  This includes packaging costs and a tracking number, or customs number as available. This will be sent to you when your order ships.  Please keep in mind that, depending on the destination, some tracking updates are not made once the package had passed US Customs, or enters your country.  Please allow anywhere from 1-3 weeks of transit time. I can make no guarantees about delivery times. You will be responsible for any customs fees or duties incurred in your respective country.  Orders cannot be marked as a 'gift' on customs paperwork, the value of the item must be listed.


 I cannot issue refunds for any lost, unclaimed or misdirected packages. Please make sure that your shipping address is correct when you check out.  Orders will be shipped to the address you provide. Customer is responsible for following up with shipper with concerns of delivery.




How do I redeem a discount coupon code?


If paying with a credit card, you will find the coupon code field on the second page of the checkout when you are entering your credit card information.

If paying with Paypal Express Checkout, you will first be directed to Paypal to enter your shipping and billing addresses. After that, you will be returned to my store where you will choose your shipping rate, type in the discount code and the price will be updated accordingly.  On this same page, you will be able to finalize the transaction.


What is your return and exchange policy?


I am dedicated to providing quality craftsmanship, excellent customer service and want you to be 100% happy with your purchase.

However, for whatever reason you are not satisfied, you may return your item for an exchange or store credit within 5 days of receiving your item. Item must be returned in it's original unworn condition, and packaged carefully. You must notify me and receive approval by email prior to any returns being made. Customer is required to provide a tracking number to me at the time the item ships. 

You will be responsible for all shipping costs incurred.

I cannot accept returns for earrings, or custom orders. These sales are final.

I do my best to be attentive to the details, but if for some reason, there is an error in your order please notify me right away and I will remedy the situation.



Can I get a ring resized?

If you have purchased a ring, and you find you have ordered the incorrect size, I will be happy to resize the ring. You will be responsible for all shipping costs and a resizing fee of $30.  If the ring size must be increased more than a whole size, you may need to purchase a new ring.



How do I care for my new jewelry?

Congratulations on your brand new jewelry!  A quick and easy way to safely clean up your jewelry is to occasionally wash it gently in the palm of your hand with some mild dish soap and warm water.  Oils and moisturizers on our skin can tarnish silver more quickly and this will clean them right off. Dry with a soft towel.


If your piece has an oxidized finish, it is fairly low maintenance.  I recommend not wearing it in a chlorinated pool, the ocean, or regularly wear it in the shower as it may effect the patina over time. If you would like to lighten up the finish, you can take a jewelry polishing cloth, a fine steel wool, or scotch brite pad and gently brush the surfaces, careful not to scratch stones or resins.  It helps to cover these with a bit of tape to protect them.  If you would like to darken the surface, you can mail the jewelry back to me to professionally reoxidize and seal at anytime at no charge (though you will need to pay for return shipping costs). Email me if you are interested in this service. Or, if you are feeling adventurous and are interested in a DIY science project let me know and I can give you instructions on how to oxidize your silver jewelry at home.


If your jewelry is polished, it will clean up wonderfully with a silver polishing cloth.  Silver will stay polished longer if worn frequently.


If you are the lucky owner of an antique glass piece of jewelry and you want to clean it up from time to time, just take a soft toothbrush and mild dish soap and brush the glass lightly under warm running water. Blot with a towel to dry.  Please handle with care, as the piece is made from glass and can chip or break if dropped against a hard surface. 


Take care with resin surfaces not to come in contact with anything abrasive. It is a durable surface; it will hold up well to keys on a keychain but not so well on a sandy beach.  Store your map jewelry away from direct sunlight or constant artificial light as it may cause the maps to fade over time.  The maps are sealed completely so you don't have to worry about them getting damaged when the jewelry is exposed to water.


Oops, I had a little accident and need a repair. What should I do?

Send me an email and let me know the nature of the repair, a photo always helps to clarify.  In most cases, it is something that I can easily fix for little or no charge aside from shipping costs.  If it requires a replacement chain, or has suffered more extensive damage I will provide an estimate.  I do not take responsibility for work done by any other jeweler.
