For the world explorer and adventurer at heart, my signature collection of jewelry features antique maps from the late 1800s to the early 1900s, set in handmade sterling silver settings. Your chosen location will be archivally preserved for many years to come, sealed behind a magnifying resin.
I have always believed place to be such a defining part of who we are, where we come from and where we would like to be. Precious to our life stories we can carry these places in our jewelry similar to a carefully selected gem. Your jewelry can feature any location in the world that means the most to you. Whether a small town or a grand city, I will dig through my collection of atlases and maps to find the right map, specifically for you. Make it even more personal by adding a custom inscription to the back of the piece.
Maps are not only one of my life passions, but also in my blood. My great grandmother, who is also my namesake, was a single young independent working woman in the late 19th and early 20th century, which was not the norm for ladies at that time. She was employed away from her hometown, in Washington DC, as an assistant to a cartographer for a time before beginning her family. Although I never had the opportunity to meet her, her life and story continue to be a huge inspiration to me.
I hope the pieces I make for you will become an heirloom piece that will honor the stories of your family, friends and your life story for years to come.
